YEARS OF PLANTING:  1996

VINEYARDS:grassy – not irrigated.


VINIFICATION: The meticulous  selection of the grapes follows de-stemming and fermentation for about 18 days at a controlled temperature of 26/27 ° C, with frequent pumping over.

 

TASTING NOTES:
Intense ruby red color. Perfumes are linked to memories of berries, black cherry, plum, musk, graphite, tobacco, with balsamic puffs, black pepper and ink. On the palate it is full and velvety

PAIRING:
Excellent with roasts, poultry or hard cheeses.

HISTORY:
Grape variety from Bordeaux where together with Merlot it is the main component of the Bordeaux blend. Contrary to the French situation, its diffusion is poor in Italy, although with a good presence in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
